Welcome to our 2009 season and our 51st year as the Chicago Corvette Club. As you all know, after last year’s election there were some changes with our Officers. Listed below are the changes:
- Vice-President - Annette Wilhusen
- Treasurer - Dennis Cipcich
- Club Historian - Don Schmitt, who will also remain NCCC Governor
- Editor-at-Large - John Baldo, who will also remain Racing Director
Early in January the officers and directors had a meeting to discuss this year’s plans and ideas. The club would like to keep moving forward by doing many of the same events we love, as well as incorporating some new things. As the months progress, we will be posting upcoming events and outings so you can add them to your calendars and start making plans to attend. We would also welcome any ideas for other events or outings. In addition, we will post a running list of cruise nights and car shows in which the club would like to be represented. As Racing Director, I would like to encourage everyone to consider participating in a slow speed event. Race dates are posted in the Events Calendar section of the website. This year I’m excited to tell you that Chicago Corvette Club will be taking part in a few of the NCCC racing events. By participating, we receive points as a club. I will be providing more information in the future and will be looking for volunteers to help at these events.
The Chicago Corvette Club Officers and Directors are very excited about 2009. We wish you a very safe and fun year.

The following note was recieved from the St. Charles Mothers Club:
Dear Chicago Corvette Club,
Thank you all very much for donating your toys to our charity. Everyone was happily overwhelmed at the amount of toys we recieved. It is because of your generosity that those families recieved an extra special Christmas this season. Those families were truly in need and every single toy was appreciated. We wish you could have seen the smiles on those families faces when we delivered the toys. Thank you again and have a happy, healthy, holiday.

The Chicago Corvette Club website will be undergoing a significant refresh and update. Please bare with us while this change occurs. Our goal is to complete the changes to the website in the next couple of weeks.
Once completed the changes will include:
- A new look and feel
- A Members Only section including an Online Member Directory
