Can you believe it's already August. It seems like
only last month I was pulling the car out of storage and getting
it ready for the spring. While we may not have seen the
scorching humid heat of a Chicago summer yet, the days are
coming. August is shaping up to be a very busy month for
the CCC, and it'll be starting with a bang right off the bat. So make sure to book
your calendar so you don't miss out on all the fun.
August 1st, Saturday - Picnic Marina in Seneca
- The club has been invited to attend Kane County Clerk
Jack Cunningham's annual picnic at the Marina in Seneca.
Just bring a small plate to pass. Special Corvette
parking will be available.
August 2nd, Sunday - Chicago Corvette Club Picnic
- The annual CCC Picnic will again be held at the Elburn
Forest Preserve. If you've never been don't miss this
one as a great time is had by all. RSVP to Annette
Wilhousen by Thursday, July 30th, $10 per person.
Don't forget your lawn chair and beverage(s) of choice!
August 8th, Saturday - Morris Cruise Night - Morris,
IL
- If you have never seen a cruise night in Morris you're
missing out. Hundreds of cars, music and food
highlight a fun cruise for all.
August 19th, Wednesday - CCC Meeting in Naperville/Warrenville,
IL
- The August meeting will be packed with updated information
about upcoming August and September events, including Dine 'n
Drive and the Geneva Concours d'Elegance. There will be items for auction and new trivia
questions to answer.

August 23th, Sunday - Concours d'Elegance - Geneva, IL
- The CCC has been invited to put on a Car Display at the
Geneva Concours d'Elegance. If you you've never been
this is a great event. Club Member Jerry Schauss was a
2008 Concours d'Elegance award winner It is a real
honor for the CCC to invited to put on the display. If
you are interested in displaying your car please let Mike
know by August 1st.
August 29th, Sunday - Dine 'n Drive to TBD Location
- The August Dine 'n Drive has yet to be determined.
But those who were there in July can tell you how much fun
it is. Make sure this Saturday night is clear on your
calendar.
